Getting the Runaround

Getting the runaround means you're going in circles. Like a dog that cannot sleep. Or one that likes to chase it's tail.

On a serious note, when people don't give you a straight answer, or direct the problem to someone else, they're giving you the run around.

Here are some examples:

"I tried to order something online, and they told me to check later back in a week. I phoned again and they said they have it, but they don't know where it is. Once they found it, I placed my order. I went to go pick up my order, but then they couldn't find it. I am getting the run around from them."
